Leadership

Michael Ratner, CEO

“Developing technology without regard to business objectives is like driving with your eyes closed: if you’re not already lost, then it won’t take long. The most exciting part of building our clients’ websites is helping them develop business strategy and gain a better understanding of their customers and internal business processes.”

Michael oversees the technical and business strategy component of client engagements. With Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Boston University and an MBA and Master's of Science in Finance from Boston College, he offers a unique blend of business-savvy and technical aptitude.

Michael has worked with SkyWorld since 1998. As the company’s CTO, he developed the company’s SkyWriter content management platform and deployed successful solutions for hundreds of clients. Michael was the architect of Standard and Poor’s first-generation online portal, which allowed a global team of authors and researchers to assemble and disseminate economic models to Fortune 500 clients worldwide.

Michael was one of the co-founders of Capital Fulfillment Group, a services company catering exclusively to the financial publishing industry. There, Michael oversaw the development of a custom Web-based ERP system accessed by more than 100,000 users. Michael also developed the online marketing infrastructure that helped catapult CFG into the forefront of the financial services marketing industry, earning the company recognition as one of Deloitte and Touche’s Fast 50.

Glenn Morgan, Strategy

Glenn is responsible for overall client satisfaction, focusing on the creation of solutions matching each client’s immediate and long term strategic needs.

Prior to SkyWorld Glenn purchased a stake in Interactive Factory (IFactory) and, together with the existing management team, returned the organization to profitability. The firm became (and remains!) the industry’s leading developer of online publishing solutions. Glenn had the good fortune to engage clients such as NBC Universal and The World Bank. Glenn led the sale of IFactory to The RDW Group, New England’s leading independent advertising agency.

Before entering the interactive world over 10 years ago Glenn was a Managing Director with GE Capital Consulting overseeing the Boston Application Development office and a Commercial Loan Officer for a regional Bank in Lowell Massachusetts. Outside of SkyWorld Glenn serves on the BOD of MetaVR, a virtual reality firm providing software for military and UAV assets. Glenn founded and runs two 501(c) non-profit organizations; a scholarship fund for students demonstrating community leadership as well as an organization annually providing hundreds of children in over a dozen Massachusetts school districts with holiday gifts. Glenn serves the Somerville Community Development Corporation as Treasurer and Board Member, an organization purchasing the Saint Polycarp’s parish in Somerville and converting it into 80+ affordable housing units. Glenn holds a MS from MIT Sloan and an Economics BS from the University of Lowell.

Barry Santo, Production

With over a decade of development and coding experience Barry leads SkyWorld’s site production and deployment efforts. Barry’s skills span programming production, CMS development, quality control and final site testing. Barry works along with the site designer and project manager in order to merge the often competing needs of art and technology. His experience and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction have resulted in production successes for clients such as Boeing Aircraft, Bright Horizons, ITW, Kentucky State University, Vibram FiveFingers and WBGH.

Prior to SkyWorld, Barry was a successful entrepreneur, contributing to the growth and management of a privately held landscaping firm. Though he does not often speak of it, Barry is bi-coastal, often taking time to visit his second home in beautiful Las Vegas.

Bill McClure, Operations

Bill ensures projects proceed on time and on budget. He oversees the development process and works closely with your team to develop and refine the ultimate deliverable.

Since 1999 Bill’s ability to diagnose and address client business needs with web based tools positions him to head SkyWorld’s project management efforts.

Bill’s site designs have garnered an array of industry honors for clients in fields ranging from multi-media such as WGBH to integrated ecommerce and social media solutions as provided to Vibram.
